A celebration of fresh musical voices and fearless new beginnings. Grammy award–winning composer Libby Larson’s music opens the program with Bach 358, offering an immediate sense of clarity and creative spark that sets a welcoming, youthful tone. Following this, our 2026 Young Artists’ Competition winners step into the spotlight for their first opportunity to perform a concerto movement with the full orchestra, turning anticipation into vivid, orchestral dialogue—listeners can practically hear their confidence grow note by note. To conclude, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 follows with bold authority and unmistakable momentum, giving the afternoon a triumphant, forward-looking finish that honors the tradition these young musicians now carry into the future.
